2023 set a new wildfire record in Canada - 10 million hectares burned. In Alberta alone at the time of writing this, there were over 1,100 wildfires.

To the thousands of firefighters, emergency workers and volunteers who worked relentlessly, thank you for keeping us safe.

Our thoughts and prayers go to the people who lost family, homes, pets and belongings and accolades to those who opened their homes to strangers and provided meals and assistance.
